About Brittany

So who is the person behind all of these words!?  Hi there, my name is Brittany and I am a lot of things!  I’m a soon to be mother, early childhood educator, an instructor of children’s yoga, music and infant massage, workshop/training leader, and super passionate about children and families social and emotional development and well-being!

My life tends to revolve around children and families, and that is just how I like it!  I am very passionate about my work and about helping children and families develop positive, healthy, happy and respectful relationships.

Outside of my work with children and families I enjoy spending time with my husband, two cats, and three chickens, reading, practicing yoga, singing and dancing! I also love being out in nature, either hiking or camping.

I have an honours degree in early childhood education, with a focus on working with communities and families.  After university I went on to work with children and families in a variety of settings, from parenting centres, nurseries and daycares, public schools and through my own private classes.

I love learning and can’t seem to stop! After completing my degree, I decided I needed to do and learn more.  I became certified as a children’s yoga instructor and an infant massage instructor.  Additionally I completed a program all about music in early childhood.

From there I took all of my enthusiasm, knowledge and experience and started my own business!  It was a dream come true.  I taught classes to children and families focused around music, yoga and massage.  I met so many amazing families and developed a greater understanding of the realities of being a solo business owner.

Where I am Now

Recently my husband, myself and our two cats made a big journey.  We uprooted our lives and moved from Toronto to a lovely old town in the south of England.  Another learning opportunity, another chance for growth.

So here I am today! After thinking about blogging for awhile, I finally decided to take the plunge!  We all have our fears, and starting this blog was one of mine.  I am so glad that I decided to go forth and (somewhat) conquer my fear.  I hope this blog serves you well and provides you with support, no matter if you are a parent or educator.  It takes a village to raise a child and we are all in this together!
